Week Thirteen

Well I made up what was lost last week. I also did the measurements this week that I missed the week prior. Progress on both. I think one of the reasons I've been having a tough time making more weight loss progress is due to the fact that I've been walking and using the stairs more and I've finally started to add some muscle weight because of it. Damn muscle weight. I'm only walking a little more than before, but I'm using the stairs now instead of the elevator to go to and from my office on the 5th floor. I've continued to use the stairs for my 5th to 7th floor trips. I'm not sure how many trips up and down the stairs I make in a day, but it's more than just going up in the morning and coming down at night. Hopefully it doesn't slow the weight loss part of this too much. I'm happy about the extra exercise, but I'd love to finally make my first goal and see it in the rearview.

Week Twelve

So it's almost week thirteen and I'm just now getting this info up. I'm really turning out to be a horrible blogger. Really. So you'll note that I have not made any progress whatsoever for about a month now. I also failed to take my next set of measurements. So we'll take care of all of that when we return from the Rock of Red sometime on Sunday. Here's hoping I make some fricking progress this week. Sheesh.

Week Eleven

Seems these last few weeks I've reached a plateau. I'm not surprised at all. Weekends have been full of pitfalls. First the cruise. Then the Laker game. Then The Melting Pot this weekend. I can't seem to get a whole week in without some splurge at the end of the week. Well I certainly haven't given up. Hopefully we have a few weeks coming up where we won't have any thing crazy going on. Oy.

Week Ten

Well I can't say I'm surprised. I've gotten used to eating very well again. Not healthy, but well. The past couple of weeks have been fairly chaotic as far as life goes. Not in a bad way, just in a busy and don't want to play by the rules way. We had the St. Paddy's day party. Yummy. We had the Ensenada cruise. Yummy. And then we had what was supposed to be a normal week getting back on plan.

And I guess for the most part it was. I ended up showing a net gain, but really, considering all the food I stuffed in during the cruise I guess it's going all right. Technically I should have counted the 167.5 from last weekend rather than the 164.5. If I had done that I'd be showing a loss this week. However, I did manage to go from 167.5 to 165.5 so that in itself is great. And I did it while still putting away some of the rest of the cheese from the Irish party. Forward progress. Sort of. If I can just stay away from any more cruises for a while I'll be in good shape. At this point I've given up on predicting when I'll make my 10% goal. All I know is that at some point I will.
