Reason being is that there has been no more weight loss. In fact much weight gained. Not back to where I started, but last summer was the beginning of not trying anymore. I just haven't been trying very hard. I haven't totally slid backwards though. I still have cut my intake to more reasonable portions. I still pay attention to my weight on a regular basis. I just haven't felt that motivated to keep up with actually losing more. I still want to, but for now I'll just keep tracking and doing what I'm doing. Where we're at right now provides crap food and snacks since we're pretty much chained to the terminals for our shift. Skittles, Snickers, Kraft Mac &amp; Cheese and Cup O' Noodle. Still managed to drop a couple pounds though. Most of the week I spent at home and aside from a a couple of larger than normal lunches I did a good job. Most of the week I was at 155. On Friday we kind of splurged a bit though and got some great Indian food that I then ate leftovers of both Saturday and Sunday. More beer this week as well while drinking less water. All in all staying even with last week is not bad at all. On to next week. In fact I still highly dubious, but it has read consistantly for two days in a row now. Mrs. LK is confident in what she has been seeing so I guess I'll go ahead and claim my current weight. This morning it was 155.5 and yesterday for the most part it read 156 so I'll go ahead and record 156. Last week was actually pretty good as far as eating habits. Mrs. LK left some great chili soup that lasted quite a bit of last week. I had some other things she had left. I only went out one night and only semi-splurged so I guess it kind of makes sense, but still I'm not that confident in such a large chunk of weight suddenly just disappearing. We'll see how the next week goes. I have a bunch of days off this week since this is my first day off in eleven days so hopefully I can hold back the temptation to hit up the bbq joint, too much. About midweek I was down to about 158, but as you can see it jumped back up. Oh well nothing for it, but to just keep trying. One of the issues I think is with my water intake. Earlier on I was drinking a lot more water. While I am still drinking a lot more water than I was before I started this four months ago it isn't as much. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;As an added bonus I've now included a weight tracking graph. Stuck to the plan. No parties or events at the end of the week right before weigh in. It shows. I think it's going to be a bit tougher to get from my ten percent goal down to 150 though. We'll see. I haven't been trying very hard lately to lose. I have been trying not to splurge and just maintain what I've achieved. This morning I woke up and after the usual morning business I hopped on my scale, 164 lbs. No surprise. I then proceeded to go back to bed(this was at 5AM) until around 1PM today. I'm not exactly sure when, but around 2PM after I'd finished showering and was about to get dressed on a whim I hopped on the scale again, 161.5 lbs. So what's the deal? I lost 2.5 lbs sleeping for 6 more hours followed by watching a movie for another 2 hours and then taking a shower. Shit I should just stay in bed more often. I also did the measurements this week that I missed the week prior. Progress on both. I think one of the reasons I've been having a tough time making more weight loss progress is due to the fact that I've been walking and using the stairs more and I've finally started to add some muscle weight because of it. Damn muscle weight. I'm only walking a little more than before, but I'm using the  stairs now instead of the elevator to go to and from my office on the 5th floor. I've continued to use the stairs for my 5th to 7th floor trips. I'm not sure how many trips up and down the stairs I make in a day, but it's more than just going up in the morning and coming down at night. Hopefully it doesn't slow the weight loss part of this too much. I've gotten used to eating very well again. Not healthy, but well. The past couple of weeks have been fairly chaotic as far as life goes. Not in a bad way, just in a busy and don't want to play by the rules way. We had the St. Paddy's day party. Yummy. We had the Ensenada cruise. Yummy. And then we had what was supposed to be a normal week getting back on plan.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;And I guess for the most part it was. I ended up showing a net gain, but really, considering all the food I stuffed in during the cruise I guess it's going all right. Technically I should have counted the 167.5 from last weekend rather than the 164.5. If I had done that I'd be showing a loss this week. However, I did manage to go from 167.5 to 165.5 so that in itself is great. And I did it while still putting away some of the rest of the cheese from the Irish party. Forward progress. Sort of. If I can just stay away from any more cruises for a while I'll be in good shape. At this point I've given up on predicting when I'll make my 10% goal. At least as far as when we weighed ourselves that is. We weighed ourselves on Friday before going on our &lt;span style="font-style: italic;"&gt;cruise&lt;/span&gt; to Ensenada this past weekend. So to be official it was 164.5 on Friday, 170.5 Monday morning right after breakfast and 167.5 later Monday after, well, events transpired. Now it would definitely not be impossible to stay on plan while cruising to Ensenada. Healthy food was available for all meals and it looked great.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Just not as great as the burgers, the pizza, the pasta salads, the deserts, the deserts, um, the deserts. Not to say I ate entirely fatty foods all weekend. In fact I had awesome shrimp ceviche in Ensenada coupled with awesome fish tacos(yes they were fried). There was beer, though only in Ensenada, and there was plenty of rum and coke(no I didn't bother with diet).&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;So considering I went all out this past weekend I was quite pleased that I only spiked up to 170.5. It could have been a whole lot worse, BUT my stomach must have shrunk because I could barely get anything down there. One plate of something and I was full dammit! So now we're back on plan and I must say that I'm glad to be back to it. It was just so damn uncomfortable being so full all weekend. By Sunday I was so uncomfortable, not that I really ate that much, that I went up to the jogging track and put in two miles of brisk walking just to work the food through quicker. After the dinner, which I couldn't even eat more than a few bites of, I again had to go up to the track to walk off the weekends excess. Four miles in one day. The guy who can't stand exercising. Ack!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;I'm actually pretty happy about the fact that I feel so full after overindulging for extended periods. One thing is for sure I can't remember the last time I crapped so much and I don't mean because my stomach was upset. We had a great time last night and part of that consisted of consuming mass quantities.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Of everything. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;No regrets, but knowing we were going to really enjoy ourselves last night I weighed myself yesterday morning. So that weight is what went into the table. Since we weren't home this morning I couldn't weigh myself first thing so we did that when we got home today and lo and behold I'd gained four pounds over night. I did mention we ate a lot right? So no big deal. I've got a feeling a considerable part of the measurement today was shall we say old food not yet removed. I've been drinking lots of water today and we definitely ate light since we were still full from the previous 16 hours of wild abandon. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Back on track and working towards the first goal. I'm planning on a bit of frugality this week since next weekend we'll be taking the weekend Ensenada cruise out of Long Beach. So I may not make my 10% goal for another couple of weeks, but I'll get there. I've made great progress over the past two months, but I'm not going to totally give up on splurging for a weekend. Or two weekends even.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;3/20/2006 Update: Got on the scale this morning and was back down at 166.5. Looking good for hitting the 10% goal sometime during the next week. And that's a winner for sure. I had doubts this week that this would be the case. I had anticipated a break even week seeing as we had a Bristol dinner on Tuesday that consisted of salad with warm andouille sausage and a tomato vinagrette, gooey cheese french bread, gumbo with so much good stuff in it and praline blondies for desert. Now these dinners at Bristol can not be considered low cal or healthy by any stretch, but man oh man do they taste good. Oh so good. This week was no exception. It was a splurge and worth it. Now if that had been all I wouldn't have had any doubts about another losing week. &lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;However, for whatever reason I had a willpower break down on Saturday. I had every intention of hitting up Subway for lunch since Mrs. LK and I were planning on going out to dinner Saturday night. Didn't happen. I had a full blown double-double, animal style and half an order of frys instead. Basically a whole days worth of food at one sitting. Ack. Oh well move on. Still no biggee if we had skipped dinner, but that didn't happen either. Dinner consisted of pasta, calamari and shrimp in a spicy tomato sauce, a glass and a half of wine followed by tiramisu. Oi!&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Amazingly enough even with all that I managed to shuck another pound. At this rate I't'll take me all year, but who cares. I had an enjoyable week as far as food goes. With the exception of those two days I stuck to the plan, ate right, walked a bit and drank a ton of water. This week is gonna be a bitch what with the ducktaco crowd throwing a St. Paddy's day bash, but oh well. Weeks four and five should have been switched, but what the heck does my body know anyway. This week contained a couple of really nice meals, but we managed to limit the portions so that we didn't break the bank. I don't want to say it's getting easy to pull this off because it's not. However, it is definitely getting easier to determine what is and isn't beneficial to my daily intake. I've certainly also gotten into a daily routine. Well semi daily anyway. I've found some things I like and work well within the plan. My two go to places, Jamba Juice and Subway, have certainly been nice to have. Mrs. Lil K's excellent cooking and efforts to keep us on plan have also made a huge difference in our success.  I'm excited to see my continuing success and I think I can finally say I feel better. If things keep going this well I'll make my first goal in two weeks. However, since last weekend was such a tough weekend on my bod I can't really be disappointed at how this week went. Up to last weekend I had been losing around a pound and a half to two pounds a week.  Based on that average I should be exactly where I am after 5 weeks. I did lose inches off my measurements last week so I know I'm making progress. This week wasn't as good a week for drinking water either as I didn't keep the bottle full all the time. Now next week should see me back on track with the downward slope. However, the last part of the week was definitely not a healthy couple of days. Saturday I only had a 5 point Jamba Juice and then nothing but a few drinks that night. I did eat, but I'm not going to count anything I didn't keep.  Sunday was spent tucked in bed until around 5PM when I got up to get ready to go to dinner with the rents. All that really counted on that meal was the filet. A 10oz perfectly cooked filet. (drool) Even with that though I was still way under points for the day.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Honestly on Saturday I thought I was really gonna blow the budget and so I weighed myself that afternoon before I left. 173 lbs. Which if I'd weighed that the next morning I would have been stoked. However, since I didn't keep down dinner and most of the drinking that coincided with it there really wasn't much for the bod to do anything with it seemed. Also to note the dehydration that goes with the drinking. So I got home Sunday around noon and prior to crawling into bed for the next five hours I weighed myself one more time. 170 lbs. At first I thought something was wrong with the scale and so I measured myself a couple of times and got the same result. I weighed myself again this morning, Monday, and the result was 171 lbs. so maybe Sunday's measurements were accurate. However it's working I'm going to stick with the 170 number measured on Sunday at noon and just anticipate not making a whole lot of progress this week as my body works on recovering from the weekend.  Needless to say I'll definitely be working on a much healthier week this week. Another 1.5 pounds. I have mixed feelings. It's dissapointing that the pounds just don't fly off, but at the same time I'm glad I had another week where I lost.  Forward progress is good. My first goal is 10% loss which means I'm looking to get to 164 lbs initially. Ultimately I'd like to get down to 150 lbs, but I don't know if that's a realistic goal with no real change in anything other than my eating habits. We'll see how well I do with getting to 164 lbs and reevaluate then.
